A web site for each person's needs 

Our public site enables you to discover us: you will find on the site very complete information on our company, our investment solutions and our services.
Our secure youroffice site, which is intended for our distribution partners, represents a daily management and advice tool for clients.
Our secure yourassets site, enables our clients to view and manage their portfolio 24 hours a day and to carry out on-line transactions themselves.
Our 3 web sites are entirely free of charge; you need only a simple Internet access.

What is the optimal configuration to consult the Private Estate Life sites?   

PC:

• An Internet connection (at least 56 kb)
• Operating systems: Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows Me (Millennium Edition) or Windows XP.
  N.B.:
  We recommend that you install the most recent Windows service pack for all Windows operating systems.
• Internet browsers: Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.5 or more recent, Netscape Navigator version 6.1 or more recent, Mozilla version 5 or more recent.
• Java VM (Java Runtime Environment): in order to display certain charts. This JVM is integrated in most browsers and platforms. You can also download it free of charge.
• Adobe Acrobat Reader: in order to view the documents in pdf format. You can also download it free of charge.                       

Apple Macintosh systems:

• An Internet connection  (at least 56 kb)
• Operating systems: Mac OS 9.x or Mac OS X.x 
  N.B.:
  We recommend that you install the most recent Macintosh patches for all Macintosh operating systems.
• Internet browsers: Netscape Navigator version 6.1 or more recent, Mozilla version 5 or more recent.
• Java VM  (Java Runtime Environment): in order to display charts. This JVM is integrated in most browsers and platforms. You can also download it free of charge.
• Adobe Acrobat Reader: in order to view the documents in pdf format. You can also download it free of charge.

Access to the secured sites

1.

What should I do to obtain access to youroffice?

To obtain the access agreement to youroffice, you may either

• contact your consultant or
• contact the Internet Support department                       

Upon receipt of the duly filled out and signed agreement (sent to the Internet Support department), we will send you your access codes.

2.

How can I connect to youroffice? 

• Connect to Internet and enter the address www.privateestatelife.com
• Choose the desired country and language
• On the public site's homepage : click on the"login button under youroffice"                                                   

On the connection page, you must enter your identification data (see also our user guide):

• User number: comprised of 8 digits. This number is mentioned in the left-hand corner of the "Access agreement", of which you have kept the Client copy
• Password: comprised of letters (in lower case!) or digits
• Your code card security code: comprised of 16 characters (upper case) or digits. The 16 boxes correspond to the 16 characters of your security code. In the two white boxes you must enter the letters or digits of your code corresponding to the position of these boxes in your code. For security reasons, the letters or digits requested change on a random basis at each connection
  
• Once you have entered the secure site, the system asks you to modify the initial password and to personalise your password.
• Enter your initial password in the corresponding field
• Enter a password of your choice. This password must be comprised of at least 10 characters, including 1 digit. You may use letters in upper case, lower case, digits and/or special characters (the system is case sensitive)
• Confirm your password by rewriting the password chosen
• Approve by clicking on "OK".

I had access to youroffice with a CDRom but this isn't working anymore. What should I do to restore my access? 

In May 2004 we implemented a new security system in order to facilitate access and to continue to guarantee optimal security of exchanges on Internet. Please contact Internet Support in order to legally obtain your updated access agreement. Upon receipt of the duly filled out and signed agreement we will send you the necessary access codes. 

4.

How can I add the site to my favorites 

Once connected to the secure site,

• click on "Favorites" in your browser's upper menu
• Then click on "Add to Favorites"
• Approve the information by clicking on "OK "                      

During your next connections, you may use the link added to your favorites:

• Click on "Favorites"
• Choose the link corresponding to Private Estate Life
• The connection page appears

How can I connect to yourassets? 

• Connect to Internet and enter the address http://www.privateestatelife.com
• Choose the desired country and language

I am unable to connect.

1.

I have forgotten my password or lost the security code. What should I do? 

As a Financial Adviser you need a Reconnection form youroffice, as a client you need a Reconnection form yourassets. Please send it to us, duly filled out and signed, by letter or by fax. Upon receipt, we will send you a new password or your code card.

2. 

I receive the message "The information entered is incorrect. Please try again. Click on "OK" to continue". What should I do? 

This is probably a typing error (our system is case sensitive).
To leave the error message, click on "OK" and you will be automatically redirected to the login page.

• Check your user number comprised of 8 digits
• Check the password:
  If this is an initial connection, please enter the password in lower case verify that "Caps Lock" is not pressed down)
  SIf you have already initialised your connection and chosen your personal password, check each character (lower or upper case).
• Check the security code:
  The two characters to be entered in the white boxes must correspond to the position of these boxes on your security code. The letters must be in upper case (activate either your "Caps Lock" or keep the "Shift" key pressed down).
  Entering 3 consecutive errors will block your access. If you fail to restore a connection to the secure site, contact the  Internet Support.

I receive the message: "For security reasons your access was blocked". What should I do? 

If you have entered incorrect data 3 times, the system automatically blocks access for security reasons. After more or less 30 minutes, the system automatically releases you and you can once again connect.
If you have forgotten your password, please fill out the Reconnection form youroffice as a Financial Adviser, or the Reconnection form yourassets as a client. If you are unable to restore a connection to the secure site, contact the  Internet Support.

4.

I receive the message : "You are not authorised to access this site", even though I entered the login data correctly. 

• You are a Financial Adviser:
  • Check that you are connected via your country of residence
  • Check that you have clicked on the "Login" button under youroffice. The login page appears in blue and white.

• You are a client:
  • Check that you are connected via your Financial Adviser's country of residence
  • Check that you have clicked on the "Login" button under yourassets. The login page appears in green and white.    

5.

I wish to change my password. How can I do this? 

Once connected to youroffice or yourassets, click on the "Password" button present on each page of the site.

A pop-up window appears: enter your current password, your new password and confirm your new password.

Click on the "OK". button. You will receive the message "your password has been modified successfully". The new password is valid for one year..

6.

The system asks me to modify my password without asking me. Why? What should I do? 

Your password is valid for one year. One year after your initial connection, the system will ask you to modify your password. Enter your current password, your new password and confirm your new password.You may keep the same password as before. Click on the "OK" button. You will receive the message "your password has been modified successfully".Your new password is again valid for one year.

The security of the Private Estate Life web sites

What means are used to secure the information? 

Our secure web sites use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) 128 bits technology. This process establishes with your computer a secure connection through which your information is exchanged on a fully confidential basis.
The "https" prefix of the address of the page consulted guarantees that you are in a secure environment. A double-click on the padlock located at the bottom of your browser's screen displays the data concerning the site security certificate: in this way, you may check at all times that you are indeed connected to our secure site.

Is it necessary to secure my computer or (WiFi) network? 

To use youroffice or yourassets, it is not necessary to take special measures. However, we advise you to take a few general precautions associated with using Internet.

• Firewall
• Antivirus software program
• Spyware blocker                      

There are packages that contain, among other things, a firewall, an antivirus software program and a spyware blocker. It is necessary to pay for the best-known security software programs (often in the form of a subscription), although there are also free, reliable versions on Internet.

WiFi network: if you connect to Internet through a WiFi network it is important for you to use an encrypted connection.

3.

Is my password confidential? How can I choose a valid, secured password? 

Yes, it is confidential as long as you did not disclose it to another person. If you have written your password, we advise you to keep it in a safe place separate from your user number and your code card. If your computer asks you during your login if you want to save the password, say "no".
If you are not sure of your password's confidentiality, you can change your password when you wish.
Your password must be comprised of at least 10 characters, including at least 1 digit.
We advise you not to choose an obvious password (your surname, your given name or date of birth). Instead, you should choose a fairly long password, with varied types of characters (upper case, lower case, digits numbers and special characters), one that is easy to remember

4.

Someone saw my identification data. What should I do? 

As long as the person is not in possession of the three data needed for access (user number, password and code card), he cannot connect to the site, consult your portfolio or carry out transactions in your name.
For this reason, we advise you:

• Not to keep the 3 identification data together and
• To modify your password if you suspect that someone knows your identification data.

I had a virus on my computer/network. Is my data still confidential? 

Yes. Your personal data is stored in our databases, not on your computer. As a result, there is no risk that your data could be attacked by a virus.
